Agilisys, part of the Netdecisions Group, the leading technology and business process service provider, is delighted to announce that www.visitbritain.com - the official website for travel to Britain - has been voted the World's Leading Tourism Authority Internet Site at the World Travel Awards Gala Ceremony. The award-winning website built by Agilisys, faced intense competition from other nominees including Germany, Thailand, and the previous year's winner, Australia.
The awards are designed to acknowledge and celebrate excellence in the world's travel and tourism industry, and were presented at a ceremony attended by hundreds of leaders from the industry, along with an audience of thousands watching via a live webcast. Over 2.5 million voting forms were broadcasted to over 150,000 frontline agencies and 80,000 travel agencies worldwide.
