Head of Design at Agilisys - 2002-2007. Jonathan led the strategic direction, user-centred design methodology, and development of an award-winning ‘Customer Experience Design' team, dedicated to creating world-class brand experiences for McDonald's, NSPCC, VisitBritain and other major clients.
Being at the heart of a revolutionary period in the communications industry has cultivated an in-depth understanding of the branding, design and technology challenges that face enterprise-level clients today. Agilisys is an IT and business process service provider, employing over 1,000 staff world wide. Part of the netdecisions group, Agilisys designs, develops and operates technology-enabled business solutions for some of the world's leading organisations.
As Head of Design, Jonathan was responsible for strategy, management and development of the award winning Customer Experience Design team.
He has experience of over 100+ public and private sector web initiatives from complex business applications to corporate websites.
Fully cogniscent of the entire web development process - including usability, accessibility, user profiling, information architecture, content management, localisation, internationalization, and development (XHTML/CSS/Flash).

VisitBritain is the official website of the national tourism agency, responsible for marketing Britain worldwide and for developing England’s visitor economy.
Jonathan Porter lead the creative pitch that won, netdecisions one of the most lucrative contracts in new media in 2003 - The deal, worth around £.5m, coincided with the rebranding of the British Tourist Authority to VisitBritain. As appointed lead designer of the ‘blueprint’ designs for the Tridion Content Management System behind 34 websites in 19 languages including Japanese, Chinese and other non-Latin character sets. The creative solution provided full support for internationalization and localization, allowing regional providers to access nationwide and international consumer markets. |

1999 - 2002 - Art Director / netdecisions
Recruited as an Interactive designer in 1999 to led interface design projects for heavy systems integration pieces through to ecommerce and web development. Promoted to Art Director, to create new brands and provide creative direction to the netdecisions group of companies and award winning ventures, including:
- The First Resort (joint venture with Centrica, BSkyB and TUI Thomson Travel Group)
- Madaboutwine (a joint venture with Fine and Rare Wines), Produxion (a joint venture with Emap and Channel 5 television).

1998 - Senior Designer / Farenden Design Associates
Recruited as a print designer, responsible for design and artworking national campaigns for Tesco, including Computers for Schools 98/99, and World Cup 98. Responisble for artwork and quality control of £1m+ print runs.
Sole responsibility for design, development and management of corporate website.
1998 Calibra Marketing - Designer / Web designer
In this intense deadline driven environment, I was responsible for branding the sister company 'Creative Display' and various Corporate ID projects among the day to day advertising briefs for the automotive industry.

Produced design & artwork mainly for the publishing sector from brochures to CD-ROM packaging.
